Chicago conversion Institute – The Conversion Institute’s weekly class – a joint project of the Chicago-area USCJ and Rabbinical Assembly regions – gives people interested in converting to Judaism a process where they can work toward their conversion under the sponsorship of a Conservative rabbi. This class is a survey of the great richness of Jewish tradition and the fundamentals of the Jewish religion. Topics include the four-thousand-year history of the Jewish people, sacred texts, ethics and beliefs, and the theology, liturgy, rituals, holidays and life cycle events which provide a sacred context for Jewish living. Sunday classes are conveniently located in Chicago’s northern suburbs. For more information, contact instructor Nancy J. Labbie Instructor
